OMG Cool blue Ajax line on google maps

OMG Google maps now lets you drag the blue route line to customize your route!! Very cool use of Ajax - it updates the directions text as you drag the blue line on the map! And you can even move the start and end points with the mouse too. I love it!

Here is an example for those of you too lazy to type in your own map start and end points.

Ok I know this feature has been out for a few months but it is so cool I wanted to share it with others who might not have noticed it yet!

Mary Jo's Gravatar Yeah, I noticed this feature recently when I was mapping a trip to a friend's house and they told me to avoid a particular road that the mapping software always tries to send you on. I was just dragging the map around and noticed that I could change the route, too cool!

Michael Evangelista's Gravatar Hi Michael -
thanks for pointing this out, very cool.

I will see if perhaps this can get on John Blayter's feature request for the next cf_googlemaps.cfc, which I love and use regularly!

ps - comments are alive and well ;-)

Roger Maves's Gravatar Michael posted a reference to cf_googlemaps.cfc - can you tell me where I can get information on this?

Estetik's Gravatar I'm guessing the only way to do this in Javascript would be to use the onresize event, and then using the resizeTo method to attempt to keep the window at the size you want?
